Our Fleet

Blue Sky Aviation operates a fleet of aircraft that are meticulously maintained above FAA industry standards. Each is cared for by on-site FAA-certified mechanics. Blue Sky Aviation takes pride in its aircraft, and the safety of its students and staff is its number-one priority. In addition to safety inspections before and after every flight, Blue Sky Aviation mechanics perform detailed mechanical inspections every 50 and 100 hours to ensure each aircraft is safe and reliable to fly.
The Blue Sky Aviation fleet includes the following Certified Aircraft:
Cessna 150
Light, safe, extremely reliable and inexpensive to maintain and fly, the Cessna 150 continues to be the single most popular aircraft in flight schools around the world. Cessna first began production of its two-seat 150 series in 1957 Continental Engine 100HP.
More pilots have flown Cessna 150s than any other single model of airplane in the world. The perfect trainer and time builder for aspiring recreational or professional pilots.
Cessna 172
Since its first flight in 1955, the Cessna 172 virtually cornered the market on flexible, affordable, four-seat, light aircraft and remains one of the most sought-after light aircraft on the market today.
Designed to be inherently stable, high visibility and Cessna reliability has made it one of the most popular VFR and IFR training aircraft in the world, second only to Cessna’s own 150. Its popularity and positive four-seat design provides outstanding comfort and long range trip planning for just about every mission you would need.
More interior room, higher gross weight, higher load and fuel capacity make the 172 a nearly perfect training vehicle for cross-country and IFR pilots, or any pilot too tall or heavy to comfortably fly the 150
Piper PA28-140
The Piper Cherokee is a four-seat, light plane, powered by 150 HP Lycoming piston engine. With a max speed of 160 knots, and a cruise speed of 125 mph, it is a favorite to train in. Docile and predictable stalls, steep turns, and other maneuvers make flying look easy in this aircraft.
The low wing provides great visibility and safety when looking for and avoiding other traffic in congested areas. The Cherokee is a stable platform for instrument approaches, making even the novice fly like a pro. If you prefer low winged airplanes you will enjoy training in this aircraft.
